The Old House, Hereford

The Old House, High Town, Hereford

The Old House is situated in High Town at the heart of historic Hereford, and is one of the county's most famous black and white houses. Built in 1621, the whole house is furnished in 17th century style. Visitors can get a feel for what it was like to live in Cromwell's day.

A school session is available for pre-booked groups on Tudor Hearth and Home (history key stage 2). This session explores wealthy Tudor home life using role play and replica objects in the fascinating period surroundings of the House.
